Energy companies: We’re richer because you’re poorer
In 2022 energy giants made a killing. BP and Shell alone made £100,000 every single MINUTE. Big polluters raked in record profits, whilst for the rest of us energy bills soared, sparking a cost-of-living crisis that has driven millions into poverty.
As if that wasn’t outrageous enough, a new charity “WRBYP” (aka We’re Richer Because You’re Poorer) has been on the streets of London asking the public to cough up MORE cash for BP and Shell.
Ok, maybe not quite, but what would happen if they did? Our new video with acclaimed political satirist Jolyon Rubinstein set out to answer exactly that question. Whilst voluntary donations might be a step too far, the reality for most of us is that we don’t have a choice…
