This is just a short, fun showcase of some recent character designs. I hope you like 'em!
I find character design to be one of the most rewarding parts of the storytelling process. A design for a character can take weeks to months. Part of the time is spent creating the right "look" for the character as it relates to the role it will play in the story. But much of that time is spent doing vector cleanup and rigging. I like that generative Ai can help create options for designs, but I will LOVE IT when Ai can cut up final design with proper articulated joints and shorten the rigging process! 😘
