Born in Ortona in 1964, Rocco Antonio Tano, known as Rocco Siffredi, began working in the porn industry in the '80s thanks to a chance encounter with Gabriel Pontello, a French porn producer and actor. He debuted in France with the film "Belle d'amour" and then in Italy with "Fantastica Moana".
In a short time, he became an international superstar, and through hugely successful films, significant awards, and numerous recognitions, including AVN Awards and Hot d’or, he cemented his fame both in Europe and the United States. However, in 2004, to everyone's surprise, he announced his retirement as a pornographic actor, although he wished to continue working in the industry as a director and producer.
This retirement, in reality, was only formalized a few years ago due to a sex addiction that led him back to the set over the years. A career built with passion and dedication, full of satisfaction but also very challenging moments that deeply marked him.
He is undoubtedly the greatest porn star in the world, and his story has inspired generations of porn actors and actresses, as well as being the subject of the new Netflix docu-series “Super Sex,” released today. From humble beginnings in Abruzzo to the heights of the global porn industry.
