Pere Marquette 1225 - Cadillac Limited Fall Color Train 2024
I took a drive up the northwest part of Michigan to see a special visitor in the form of Pere Marquette 1225! The Berkshire was returning to the region for the first time since 2019, and it certainly brought out crowds to see it. All along the line, locals and railfans staged themselves to see the iconic locomotive in action. The weekend's excursion was hosted by the Steam Railroading Institute, it was the Cadillac Limited, a fall color tour train running from Mt. Pleasant to Cadillac. I caught the southbound run on Saturday, and chased the northbound run on Sunday. The fall color was a bit spotty, but overall I'm happy with the shots I got and it was a fun time!
