Mastering (Again) With Slate Digital Plugins
Slate Digital make some fantastic plugins for mixing and mastering. I've always loved the way they sound and how simple they make the entire process. In this video I wanted to take another look at mastering a track using just Slate Digital software, and include some of the new plugins that have been added: Fresh Air and FG-2A.
I tend to use solely Slate Digital plugins when I’m mastering, but I’ve always felt that the All Access Pass was missing a true peak limiter. FG-X is close, but not quite, however the Kilohearts limiter does a fair job. I wanted to try the FG-2A in its limit mode and see how it sounded; it sounded great!
