Sorry for inactive in terms of new videos as last 2 weeks have been quite busy for me. I finally got the X570 DARK video wrapped up regarding the BIOS and how it can actually overclock. I used both 5950X and 5600X as I feel the 5600X has a touch better IMC although they are nearly the same.
The CPU overclocking is pretty straight forward, you only have to remember that on AMD we don't have AVX negative ratios, so the clock you set is what needs to be stable in every situation including AVX and AVX2 based workloads so be very careful with high core count CPUs like the 5950X. Already at 1.23v I am hitting 95c with very strong custom water cooling so be very careful. At stock the motherboard loads quite high VCore so it is best to lower it manually.
When it comes to memory I still recommend 2x16GB for daily use due to larger capacity for wider use cases. If you get 2x16GB it is always best to stick with 1:1 ratio as dual ranks are limited on frequency after 4133-4266MHz. You need to set fClock to the same frequency you wish to run so 2000MHz if 4000 memory, 1866 if 3733mhz on the memory. Also you can't set ODD CAS Latency values so CL13 or 15. For overclocking and performance testing/benchmarking single sided sticks have better performance as they can run higher clock speeds.
