Suppose that this is convenient for manufacturers, because usually the compressor is separately separated by an engine, so the cylinder is placed horizontally, but there is no such condition, so why can't it be made vertical? In general, you can make a good vacuum pump from the compressor of the refrigerator, maybe I will think about it in the future. The use of such a compressor is very wide, a garage compressor for small jobs, a pump for tire inflation and other good, a compressor for an airbrush, because the engine of the refrigerator is very quiet compared to a conventional one, a popular and simple idea. It is possible to assemble a compressor from a refrigerator without special tools and welding, in fact it is easy to assemble into a single mechanism, anyone who understands this can do it.
