How To Start Programming | Front-End vs. Back-End
Not too long ago I took the decision to be a programmer and I had no idea that there are different categories of programmers who do very different things.
If you're somebody that’s interested in coding and want to find out where to start.
This video will be for you.
I had to take that decision where to start not too long ago and I wanted to learn something that has a long term future, something that I can make money with, and something I would enjoy working on.
And this won’t be the usual video about why Python is better than PHP and stuff, but I want to approach this topic from a different perspective, a more practical perspective.
Today I will go step by step over how I took the decision to learn the languages I’m learning now.
And I purposely make that video as somebody that just started because now I have a very different and untainted perspective of the coding world.
I realized that coding from the outside always looks the same, it’s just colorful text on a computer. That’s how I saw it too
But the reality is that the jobs so-called programmers have are very different. It’s the same as a person selling clothes in Macy's has quite a different day to day job as somebody working in a coffee shop even though both are just working in a store.
There are more or less 3 different types of programmers
Alright, why did I decide to be a front end developer and learn JavaScript and not be a backend developer and learn for example Python and which languages should you learn?
For, me how I personally see it, there are two questions we have to ask ourselves:
Who are we, what’s our goal?
