The Wall: A Brick By Brick Retrospective - Part One | ThisIs ReadyMade
In this inaugural episode of The Wall: A Brick By Brick Retrospective, we start at the very beginning. Roger Waters is born into a war torn world without a father, put into a society that tries to get him to fit and falls into a crowd of hippies and freaks as part of a band called Pink Floyd. Yet despite the success of the band, their front man falls to the wayside, leaving an impact on the members for years to come. In the early '70s, the band hits it big with a string of concept albums written by Waters and in 1977, he begins to take the reins. However the pressure of the industry and his personal life would lead to a concert that would change his life forever, and following it, Waters was determined to make a certain album a reality at the expense of the band. Grief, anger and passion are the first bricks.
