In this episode of Learn How to Edit Photos, Darlene demonstrates advanced techniques like HDR and stacking images using layers for star trails or car trails using Lightroom and Photoshop.
You will learn how to use Lightroom’s “Merge to HDR” function to blend bracketed images into a beautiful, naturally looking final image. Get shooting tips for HDR as well as how to organize your images in Lightroom. After using the Merge to HDR tool - you’ll see how to finalize the edits with the regular tools in LR. You’ll see two example sets of images processed.

Next, you’ll learn how to blend together several light painted images (or image of light trails from car taillights) using the “Open as layers in Photoshop” command in Lightroom. Once inside Photoshop you’ll see how to use layer blend modes and masking in order to perfect the final blended image and save it back to Lightroom.
