So your cyclops ran out of power in the Lost River / Inactive Lava Zone? Here's how to recover.
Also - how NOT to run out in the first place.
Big fat caveat: Ignore what I said at 11:13 about using an ion cube to open the arch in the Ghost Forest/LR! That's my bad; that arch doesn't lead back to the surface, and it can't be opened from this side anyway. The air pocket is still a good rest stop on your way to the Blood Kelp Zone entrance.
Notes:
-I misspoke talking about the shield module. It drains 50 power every 5 seconds, not every 10 seconds. Even faster than I was thinking. Don't forget to turn it off immediately.
-That egg I found was NOT a river prowler. It was a mesmer. Didn't expect to even see a mesmer down here, much less one of their eggs. Been playing this game quite a while and still run into new experiences from time to time. :D
-If you're close enough to get into the alien thermal plant and you have one or more purple keys (or you get them when you open the portal back to the mountain base), you can grab the ion battery/power cell blueprints. That also makes a huge difference in your cyclops power issues. For each power cell, you'll need to plan on: 1 rubber, plus 2 each of gold, silver, & ion cube.
-Yes you can technically also build a nuclear plant to power your base. There's plenty of uraninite lying around in LR. I didn't mention it because thermal is more practical (mostly because nuclear requires a lot more materials: a plasteel ingot, 3 Lead, and another advanced wiring kit, plus making at least one reactor rod).
-There are bladderfish in some parts of Lost River. They seem relatively common in the tree cove.
