Bled is a town in northwestern Slovenia close to the Austrian border. One of the highlights is Lake Bled with its beautiful clear water surrounded by mountains and the little island in the middle of the lake with a wonderful church. On top of a hill next to the town is the medieval Bled castle watching over the lake. The entire area is picturesque and invites you to explore the mountains. If you are traveling through Europe this should be on your list.
