SolarX Miner - One Week Later......
It's been over a week since setting up the SolarX Miner and Solar panel. You will note from my tone that I'm rather annoyed with the SolarX miner and it's inability to retain a full charge from it's solar panel and battery for a full 24-hours in the height of summer.
I truly love the concept so I don't want to completely trash the project. That said, this video is entirely based on my experience and it's frustrating to see something with such promise fail on the main feature which is being Solar powered. The kit may well work in a country where there is ample sunshine all day long and retains a charge overnight, but in my experience this has not been the case. This is presumably why they included a mains charger in the package.
There are other issues I've come across like the display not switching on sometimes and poor WiFi reception (the infamous -1 error on screen), but that's for another video.
