Diaries of an Artist: Trying to learn Spanish, Painting an abstract piece, and using mixed media
Who doesn’t love a studio vlog? This style of video is my bread and butter lol. I don’t think I’ve done one this talkative in quiet a while though. The beginning of this video is a little chaotic I was hyped up on a energy drink lol.
This video was actually filmed in December and I haven’t practiced my Spanish anymore since so as you can imagine I haven’t gotten much better.
As for the acrylic painting it’s definitely not my favorite. I’ve consistently said I don’t like forcing myself to do art because it never turns out good and this video is proof of it.
The manatee was a happy coincidence honestly. It started out really ugly. I didn’t touch it for about a month after its creation. While exiting I decided I didn’t want to leave it looking so sad. My thought process was if I work on it it’ll help or hurt it but at least I tried. Thankfully it turned out pretty cute. This was also the first time that I’ve used pastels on top of gouache. Im pretty happy with the outcome.
