Join us and ride along to the top of Mont Ventoux. You will ride along at the speed of a top Strava ride. The approach from Sault is the easiest way up to Mont Ventoux. And some would say the prettiest as well. Sault is a charming starting point for this ride. The lower slopes of the ride are mostly consisting of farmland used to grow lavender. Gradients in this segment are very ‘friendly’. Further up the road, the farmland is replaced by forest. Here you should expect gradients around 4-6% which is much more manageable compared to the forest segment from Bedoin. Midway you get to a very easy segment with gradients around 0-4%. It is a segment where you can rest your legs before you get to Chalet Reynard, the ‘gateway’ to Mont Ventoux. As you pass the chalet, you enter the wind-swept slopes of Mont Ventoux and one of the most jaw-dropping cycling segments in the world. The easy part of the ride is over and for the rest of the ride you have to earn the ‘view’. Luckily there is a flat part right before the top, where you can re-energize before the last push toward the summit. Mont Ventoux is a true buck-list ride that attracts cycling enthusiasts from all over the world.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
