02 BIG's Design workflows and the importance of BIM with Oliver Thomas
In this episode, we talk with Oliver Thomas who is BIM and Tech manager at BIG Architects in their London office. Oliver is also the co-founder of @architech.network .
We talk about Oliver's journey from an architect to BIM and Tech manager, and the important of Building Information Management also known as BIM. Oliver also worked on the construction design of Zaha Hadid Architect's Morpheus Hotel in Macau, China and he guides us through the process and how important parametric design is to being able to realize architecture of that caliber.
We also discuss whether Blender is the kind of software that can be used in a big firm like BIG.
