VW Golf MK7 (5G) PTC supplementary heater connector inspection
Checking if #PTC heater ground connector is OK. Most common fault with electrical supplementary heater in #Volkswagen Golf MK7 is one of the connectors that heats up, melts surrounding plastics, creates burning #smell, in some cases even smoke. If you center console side cover you can inspect the auxiliary electrical heater and check it for damage.
ℹ️ If the connector is damaged you can disable the supplementary heater function in the Climatronic menu. This will buy you some time to fix the wiring connector.
