Volkswagen Golf R Performance Pack could be UK bound
Volkswagen has quietly laid down details of a subtle Performance Pack to be offered on the recently facelifted Golf R. In a similar vein to the one offered on the Golf GTI, the Performance Pack builds on the standard car's specification, if not its power output. Volkswagen sources say that the Performance Pack has yet to go on sale in Europe and no decision has been made on whether it will be offered in the UK.
The pack consists of drilled front brake discs and high performance pads, silver calipers (as opposed to the standard black ones), a subtle black lip on the roof spoiler and the removal of the 155mph limiter. As such the Golf R Performance Pack will hit a claimed 165mph and should offer sharper braking performance, too.
