UN Security Council meeting discusses situation in Gaza

As the UN Security Council convened on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, Deputy Palestinian Ambassador to the UN Majed Bamya spoke about Israel's crimes in Gaza. Bamya stated that Israel justifies its actions by viewing Palestinians as "lesser human beings" and rejects the International Criminal Court (ICC) equating between Palestinian and Israeli civilians.
South Africa's ambassador to the UN Mathu Joyini also pointed out that all states must act to prevent genocide by Israel and ensure that they are not themselves complicit in genocide, including by aiding or assisting in the commission of genocide.
