Abstract: Entanglement of indistinguishable particles and its similarity with, as well as difference from that of distinguishable ones, is becoming an interesting area of research. Various physical systems like Bose-Einstein condensate, quantum dots, ultra-cold atomic gases, etc., support the existence of entanglement of indistinguishable particles which find applications in tasks like teleportation, entanglement swapping, metrology, coherence, steering, etc.
We prove that if quantum particles (either distinguishable or indistinguishable) can simultaneously produce hyper-hybrid entangled state and perform unit fidelity quantum teleportation, then using them one can achieve signaling (faster-than-light communication). This further results in two no-go theorems: (1) hyper-hybrid entangled state is not possible for distinguishable particles and (2) unit fidelity quantum teleportation is not possible for indistinguishable particles.
We also generalize the relation between teleportation fidelity and singlet fraction for both distinguishable and indistinguishable particles having single or multiple DoFs. Finally, we show some practical applications in three different domains as follows:
(a) Communication domain: two-particle entanglement swapping using indistinguishable particles,
(b) Security domain: attacks on cryptographic protocols using indistinguishability, and
(c) Complexity domain: quantum resource reduction.
