Akintayo shares his multifaceted journey as a multimedia artist, detailing his transition from a background in mechanical engineering to becoming a creator focused on storytelling through various mediums, including animation, photography, and music. He discusses his discovery of Unreal Engine, the importance of continuous learning, and the significance of passion in pursuing a creative career. Akintayo also highlights his current projects under his creative studio, Drkr Pxls, and emphasizes the value of collaboration and community in the creative industry.
Akintayo Adewole is a longtime photographer, filmmaker and music composer, with over two decades experience as a technologist and AV Systems Design Engineer. Akintayo founded the creative studio DRKR PXLS, which uses immersive, experiential and traditional technologies to elevate stories for animation film and interactive applications. He is also an Epic Games Animation Fellow, and a graduate of the Real-time 3D and Virtual Production program at CG Spectrum.
