They Are Called Magma
Sometimes This Molten Magma Erupts Through The Openings Or Cracks On Earth’s Surface Causing A Volcanic Eruption.
Molten Magma Which Erupts From Earth Is Called Lava
It Is Accompanied By Ash And Hot Gases.
The Opening Through Which Lava Is Pushed Up To The Surface Of Earth Is Called The Vent.
As The Lava Cools Down It Becomes Solid Rocks.
Gradually, As More Lava Comes Out And Cools, It Forms A Volcanic Mountain
Ring of Fire
Most Of The Volcanic Areas Of The World Lie Around The Edges Of The Pacific Ocean Called The Pacific Ring Of Fire.
Effects
Volcanoes can change the weather.
They Can Cause Rain, Thunder And Lightning.

Fast-Moving Lava Can Kill People And Falling Ash Can Make It Hard For Them To Breathe

People Can Also Die From Famine, Fires And Earthquakes Which Can Be Related To Volcanoes

People Can Lose Their Possessions As Volcanoes Can Destroy Houses, Roads And Fields

Volcanic Eruptions Kill Plants And Animals Too. The Mount St Helens Volcano In 1980 Killed An Estimated 24,000 Animals Including 11,000 Hares, 6,000 Deer, 300 Bobcats, 200 Black Bears And 15 Mountain Lions

Stay Away From Active Volcanoes.
If You Live Near An Active Volcano, Keep Goggles And A Mask In An Emergency Kit, Along With A Flashlight And A Working, Battery-Operated Radio

Keep Gas (Fuel) In Your Car

If A Volcano Erupts In Your Area
Evacuate Only As Recommended By Authorities To Stay Clear Of Lava, Mud Flows, And Flying Rocks And Debris

Before you leave the house, change into long-sleeved shirts and long pants and use goggles or eyeglasses, not contacts. Wear an emergency mask or hold a damp cloth over your face

If You Are Not Evacuating, Close Windows And Doors And Block Chimneys And Other Vents, To Prevent Ash From Coming Into The House

Be aware that ash may put excess weight on your roof, cars etc & need to be swept away. Wear protection during cleanups.
Ash Can Damage Engines And Metal Parts Of Your Cars, So Driving Should Be Avoided

One Should Wait For The Authorities To Announce If It Is Safe To Return Home After A Volcano Erupts
