Patient Story - Joshua
I am a fourth-year medical student at Tulane University in New Orleans. Originally from Virginia, I went to UVA for college and afterwards gained a unique experience as an intern in a pottery studio for a year. I've had the opportunity to participate in longitudinal events with Crohn's and Colitis such as advocating in front of Congress for individuals with IBD and other chronic illnesses. I have also been able to be a camp counselor for the past 5 years for kids with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, providing support and building camaraderie amongst the campers. I'm excited to continue advocating for fellow patients as I pursue a career in medicine!"
