Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.

Ya'll know what time it is
We go set it off tonight, just go

Atoms are so tiny
But they're not so small
Subatomic particles
Are in them so
Protons in the nucleus
They're not alone
Nuetrons shares the space
And this you have to know

Electrons move around in the nucleus in shells
So, you know

Neutrons have no charge at all
Outside the nucleus
Negative charged electrons
These three make atoms
Creates all substance
Protons, Electrons, and Neutrons, in matter
Atoms not alone
Cause they cling or bond
Forming molecules
Atoms two or more
Elements found
In the Periodic Table
Have atomic mass
Arranged by number
Oh, oh
Elements contain the atoms of one kind no more
No, no more

It is anything that has volume and mass
Three states of matter is what we say
Solid, liquid , gas
Now watch me...
Definite volume and shape-energy least
Solids can't break or overcome
Particles are vibrating
But particles hold on
Pick up solids cause they stay still-constant
Next liquids-more energy
Same volume but will change shape
Solids melt become liquids
The most with energy, particle of gas move
No shape and no volume
It fills the space out too
Solids to liquids-melting, liquids to solids-freezing
Liquids to gas-vaporization
Solids to gas-sublimation
Gas to liquid-condensation
