To evaluate a telescoping series, one typically finds an expression for a partial sum, and then takes the limit of this partial sum. In this video, I show how I go about finding a formula for the partial sum. I do not take the limit to get a value of the corresponding infinite series (although you can do that by simply taking a limit at infinity of the final expression that I find)
