Según el propio Brendon Urie, esta canción trata sobre él y sus problemas en la juventud con el mormonismo, está tratando de reconciliarse con su carrera y sus primeras raíces mormonas.
*he estado viajando con esta carga que ya no puedo llevar: Brendon Urie fue criado como Mormón, que es una secta del cristianismo muy conservadora culturalmente, que enfatiza, entre otras cosas, la honestidad, la obediencia a superiores y la abstinencia de sexo, drogas y alcohol. Cómo lo pueden demostrar muchas canciones de álbumes pasados, Brendon no se ha aferrado a estos valores, describe que "dejó la fe alrededor de los 17 años".
Con su estilo de vida de fiesta, Brendon afirma que ya no puede viajar ni llevar con esa carga conocida como mormonismo al que se aferró durante su juventud y que le impidió hacer muchas cosas antes.

Al insultar a Dios, Brendon está, por definición, arrepintiéndose, diciendo que nunca más se arrepentirá, diciendo que nadie hará que cambie de opinión (de ahí el porque esta es la secuela de los vídeos This Is Gospel y Emperor's New Clothes y también es la razón por la que en este último Brendon al morir se va al infierno)
