C# Tutorial | Beginner | Introducing Documentation Coments with XML | Chap-2 | Part-2
From the first part of this chapter on C# programming, we had seen that there are two basic type of commenting but in C#, we have another type, which is quite unique and is not found in other languages, and it's called Documentation Comments. The amazing thing about this type of comments is that it can be converted into another markup language that is known as Extensible Markup Language(XML). The C# compiler for any Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is capable enough to produce a separate XML file by extracting the comments from a C# script. It can be even done through the command prompt and this lesson will be demonstrating the process of demonstration using the cmd. A Documentation Comment starts with triple forward slash and it also has the single-line commenting nature. Following the forward slashes, any number of XML tags/elements can be added to structure your documentation as the name suggest.
