CALVARY MISSING LOOP (NOW WITH MORE SUFFERING)!
You’ve seen this loop before, but never like this! I made a big mistake while running the Clavary Loop, and it’s a mistake many runners know about. It happens so often it spawned the expression “strava or it didn’t happen.” What made it harder is I’ve been increasing my miles, which is good, but after my mistake, I almost wanted to give up… but I decided to continue, and by the end, we even do a little MORE!
This time I take you through one full loop plus a few half loops, because the long, droning, monotonous, painful, noisy, unpleasant aspect of a run can only be appreciated if you follow along… no, not to suffer, but to see that if we can overcome it on video, you can do it too at your local track!
This has always been my intention: to get you to feel that, yes, there is a struggle, and it is long, and painful, but if I can do it, so can you!
Why the calvary loop again? Although I like the idea of new places to run (and will take you to new places in the future), another reality of running is IT IS REPETITIVE TO THE POINT OF DRIVING YOU CRAZY.This repetitiveness is not so bad, though, because it also makes you familiar with the track so you get no new surprises and can focus on your improvement. This is so important!
