A 14-year-old boy killed four people when he opened fire at Apalachee High School in the US state of Georgia. Two students and two teachers are among the dead. Another nine people were taken to hospital with various injuries. This year, there have been at least 384 mass shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive. A mass shooting is defined as a shooting involving at least four victims, dead or wounded, across the United States.
