John Kelly gives dire warning about a second Trump presidency
Former President Donald Trump launched a barrage of attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris in North Carolina as his longest-serving chief of staff is speaking out about the dangers of a second Trump term in the White House.
John Kelly, Trump's longest-serving chief of staff, delivered a dire warning about a possible second Trump presidency in a series of interviews with the New York Times.
"He's certainly an authoritarian," Kelly said. "Admires people who are dictators, he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure."
Kelly says he was motivated to speak out following Trump's comments about using the military against domestic political opponents, who the former president calls "the enemy within."
"Even to say it for political purposes to get elected, I think it's a very, very bad thing, let alone actually doing it," Kelly said.
Kelly also discussed Trump's relationship with veterans, confirming Trump has called those who died on the battlefield "losers and suckers." He also said Trump didn't want to be seen with amputees.
"His not wanting to be seen with amputees, amputees that lost their limbs in defense of this country, that's an interersting perspective for the commander-in-chief to have," Kelly shared. #News #Politics #Trump
