The stars on Selling Sunset may seem to live a luxurious life - having fame and fortune from selling million dollar mansions on a hit reality show - but there’s actually a lot of rules they have to follow behind the scenes that shows you just how hard they’ve worked for their success. For starters, they have to have legitimate licenses. They’re also responsible for bringing in the drama with their personal lives, especially newcomers to stir the pot. Meanwhile, the people working there but not casted should be left out of the drama. They also have to oblige to editing tricks and practically have no time off while filming almost every day and are expected to do their own makeup. During Covid, several cast members contracted to Covid so they had to take safety measures. Some of their spouses like Justin Hartley and Tarek El Moussa cannot be filmed due to other contracts with TV networks. As for work romance, it is certainly not off the table - just look at Jason and Chrishell. Sometimes the cast has to reshoot scenes. As for salary, they earn strictly off commissions but are allowed to work at other firms too. If there’s a baby on set, they’re expensive to handle. The agents also have to be discreet who their clients are.
