How Does Toyota EPB Caliper Work?
In this video, we will explain how the rear caliper with an electric (electronic) parking brake actuator works in the new Toyota vehicles. The rear caliper was removed from the Toyota RAV4.
We will use the AA battery holder to simulate the vehicle's 12-volt battery to push the piston out.
We will explain how the electric parking brake calliper's internal components (spindle, pressure nut, piston, seal, dust boot) work.
