Israel-Hamas: Gaza school year begins with all schools closed
More than 10,000 students and at least 400 teachers in Gaza have been killed in 11 months of war between Israel and Hamas, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
At least 85 per cent of schools in the Gaza Strip have been either damaged or destroyed since Oct. 7, 2023, according to the United Nations (UN).
Redmond Shannon reports on how the bloodshed is keeping all of Gaza's schools closed and how hundreds of thousands of children are unable to receive the education they deserve.
