For this patient, we used a brand new microneedling device, the Amiea EXCEED Microneedling Pen, being the most recent addition to our arsenal of devices. The EXCEED, also known as the "Porsche of Microneedling", is the first medical-grade microneedling device that the FDA cleared to treat acne scars and wrinkles in the US. The pen includes a patented safety membrane in each cartridge to eliminate any chance of cross-contamination and utilizes a unique patented Tilting Needle Plate (TNP) to ensure perpendicular penetration of the needles over irregular tissue contours. German engineering allows it to be very quiet with low vibration to add comfort for the provider and patient. In conjunction with PRP injections, this combination treatment works great as a post-procedural healing treatment or for routine skin tightening and rejuvenation.
