Let’s keep it a buck: a lot of the forms of Christianity practiced in this country came from European colonizers. Those European colonizers came from the same lineages that carried out the Crusades, who viewed Muslims as Infidels who were inhabiting the “Holy Land” and needed to be conquered and wiped out. This lasted for 250 years.
Its cultural impact is still relevant today and was relevant 200 years later when the colonizers came to conquer this land. Islamophobia is embedded and it must be confronted.
