Hotel fire "took off like a rocket"
Some guests ran for their lives, others stopped to take photos and video of the fire at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas. Fire broke out in the Bamboo Pool area of the hotel Saturday afternoon. Las Vegas Fire Chief Greg Cassell says he's never seen anything like this fire. "What made it move so fast were all the fake palm trees," Cassell said. The plastic foam used to make the trees "is like solid gasoline to us," he said. That's why the fire "took off like a rocket." No one was seriously injured.
