This video is about genetic correlation, phenotypic correlation and environmental correlation between quantitative traits. The definition and differences among these three correlations are discussed. Genetic and phenotypic correlations are important parameters used for breeding decisions. Genetic correlation describes the genetic relationship between traits. Phenotypic correlation measures the association between two traits based on their observable or measurable characteristics, while genetic correlation measures the association between two traits based on their underlying genetic factors. Environmental correlation, on the other hand, measures the association between two traits that is caused by environmental factors.
