☝️ #googlephotos
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-...
Our first app on the list is Google Photos. We’ll check out the official way to Chromecast iPhone photos before moving onto third party apps. And it’s pretty decent! It loads large images quickly, but also doesn’t turn them into blurry mush. There’s a built-in editor, too. I never really felt the need to switch to a different image viewer.
Here is how to cast Google Photos to TV:
1. Connect your iPhone and your Chromecast to the same wireless network.
2. Download and open Google Photos, log into Google, and find your photo or album.
3. The Cast option will show up in the top right once you select it.
4. Choose the Chromecast device.
5. You can continue using Photos. Everything you view will be mirrored to the TV screen.
6. Once you’re done, press Cast again, then Disconnect.
Works both on iPhone and Android. Quick, simple, free - there are no downsides to this method.
☝️ SmartTV Cast

Up next, SmartTV Cast. It’s great if you want more out of your photo gallery, and also if you don’t want to tie your pictures to your Google account. In addition to pictures, it also casts videos and even content from online platforms. Most of this functionality is free, with the exception of IPTV, screen mirroring, and live camera.
That being said, let’s try to cast iPhone photos to Chromecast with this app:
1. Go to the App Store and install SmartTV Cast.
2. Open the app and accept necessary permissions. There a lot of them.
3. Choose your Chromecast device.
4. Go to the Photos section and give the app access to photos.
5. Choose the photo you want to stream and the streaming process will start automatically.
6. To stop broadcasting, click on the green icon in the upper right corner.
☝️ Browser Photos
And now, I’ll describe a desktop solution - just so you know, you don’t need to use your iPhone for this. Photo casting can be done from a desktop browser, by using Google Chrome and the Photos web client. Just follow these instructions:
1. Connect both devices to the same WiFi network.
2. Open Google Chrome. Navigate to Google Photos.
3. Open the photo or album you want to cast.
4. Open the three-dotted menu (More), then click “Cast”.
5. Pick the Chromecast from the list. You can either cast a single tab or the whole browser.
6. If you want to stop, use “Cast - Stop casting”.
And we’re at the end. I hope that one of the methods presented above was useful to you. Thanks for watching, 👍 the video if you’ve enjoyed it, and subscribe to my channel. I’m also eager to see some comments or questions. See you in the next video!
