1930 HITS ARCHIVE: Without A Song - Paul Whiteman (Bing Crosby, vocal)
Surprisingly, the 1929 musical “Great Day” that produced this song along with “More Than You Know” and the famous title tune lasted only one month on Broadway; and MGM’s planned 1930 film adaptation was halted during production and never finished. The Whiteman-Crosby “Great Day” was issued on the flip side of this Columbia ‘potato-head’ 78 release and is also included in the 1930 collection.
