SpaceX's Huge Change Just Before Starship Flight 4 Launch, Starliner Reached Orbit | Episode 48
So, Ship 29 is currently stacked atop booster 11, but you know, it will be flying with missing tiles. Do you remember the missing tiles that I mentioned 2 days ago? Yeah, that has not been fixed yet. I think it’s basically to test whether the Ship can achieve reentry with broken or missing tiles.
The Starship Flight 4 is expected to last just over one hour, following a similar trajectory to the previous Starship Flight 3 launch on March 14. The flight path does not require a deorbit burn for reentry, prioritizing public safety while still meeting the primary objective of a controlled Starship reentry. The Super Heavy booster is expected to fly for nearly 7 minutes, with a landing burn scheduled for 6 minutes and 43 seconds after liftoff. This will be a crucial moment in the mission, as a successful landing and splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico will demonstrate the reusability of the booster.
SpaceX has a 120-minute launch window, which means the Starship could lift off anytime between 8 am and 10 am EDT. The company will offer a free live webcast of the launch beginning at approximately 7:30 am EDT.
