Book of Exodus 37 - Bible Lessons - The Meticulous Attention to Detail Required in Serving God

Exodus 37 continues the story of the construction of the Tabernacle, which is the dwelling place for God's presence among the Israelites. Here is a verse-by-verse analysis of the chapter:
Verse 1: Bezalel made the Ark of the Covenant with acacia wood, covering it with gold inside and out, and creating a gold molding around it.
Verse 2: He made four gold rings for the corners of the Ark, and two gold rings for the sides.
Verse 3: Bezalel made two acacia wood poles covered in gold to carry the Ark, which were inserted into the rings.
Verse 4: He made a cover, or mercy seat, for the Ark from pure gold, with two cherubim on either end, facing each other and covering the mercy seat with their wings.
Verse 5: Bezalel made the Table of Showbread from acacia wood, covered in gold, and with a gold molding around it.
Verse 6: He made four gold rings for the corners of the Table, and two gold rings for the sides.
Verse 7: Bezalel made poles of acacia wood covered in gold to carry the Table, which were inserted into the rings.
Verse 8: He also made the utensils for the Table, including its plates, dishes, and bowls, all of which were made from pure gold.
Verse 9: Bezalel made the Menorah from pure gold, using a hammer to shape it from one piece of gold.
Verse 10: He made the cups, knobs, and flowers for the Menorah from gold, and placed them on its branches.
Verse 11: Bezalel made seven lamps for the Menorah, and provided it with tools for trimming and maintaining the lamps.
Verse 12: He made the altar of incense from acacia wood, covered in gold, with a gold molding around it.
Verse 13: Bezalel made four gold rings for the corners of the altar, and two gold rings for the sides.
Verse 14: He made poles of acacia wood covered in gold to carry the altar, which were inserted into the rings.
Verse 15: Bezalel made the anointing oil and incense used in the Tabernacle, following specific instructions given by God.
Verse 16: He made the bronze altar for burnt offerings, as well as its grating and utensils.
Verse 17: Bezalel made the bronze basin for washing, as well as its stand.
