The AMD Ryzen 5000 G-Series consists of the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and AMD Ryzen 5 5600G.
The AMD Ryzen 5 5700G is an 8-Core APU with multithreading. The processor has a base clock of 3.8 GHz and it can scale up to 4.6 GHz. You get a combined cache of 20 MB on the 5600G and the AMD Radeon Graphics IGP has 8 CUs designed to max out at 2 GHz. Lastly, this APU is rated for a TDP of 65W.

We're reviewing AMD's R7 5700G APU, which is an 8-core, 16-thread counterpart to the R5 5600G 6-core, 12-thread part. The 5700G is, by core count alone, comparable to the R7 5800X CPU. There are a few key differences: First, the inclusion of a graphics processor (running Vega architecture CUs) within the APU, and second, the switch to a monolithic solution rather than a chiplet approach. These things combined result in reduced cache for the APUs, which affects performance in some CPU-only or CPU-bound tasks.
