At this event the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work explored how employers can adopt best practice approaches to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of their employees.
Mental Health Peer Support (including Mental Health First Aid) has become a prominent feature of many employers' workplace wellbeing programmes, yet it has become a divisive area, with some launching and expanding their programmes, and others scaling back or cancelling it altogether.
The National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work is bringing together leading employers and experts in this field to explore a wide range of issues – from the evidence base behind peer support programmes, the varied approaches, the potential risks involved, and what the future may hold.
Through this discussion we aimed to inform, inspire and equip employers to adopt best practice approaches to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of their employees.
The event opened with an address from Sir Cary Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and co-founder of the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work, followed by case studies, presentations and a panel discussion from experts in the field.
Speakers include:
Charles Alberts, Global Head of Wellbeing and Employee Experience, Clifford Chance
