Key contents of the video:
Calculate Fields:
• Province Code: Extracts the first two characters from the selected province.
• District Code: Extracts the first three characters from the selected district.
• Form ID: Combines the province, district, and code to create a unique identifier for each form submission."
• Basic Calculations: Uses the formula
Age Validation and Auto-Calculation:
• Year of Birth: We apply field criteria to ensure the year of birth is between 1925 and 2006. This helps verify that respondents are 18 years or older.
• Age: This field is validated to be between 18 and 99, and it is calculated to match the current year. If the age is invalid, an error message will prompt the respondent.
• Auto Calculated Age: automatically calculates age based on the current year.
Display Age with Note Field:
• Note Field: We use a note field to display the respondent’s age. We use HTML to format the text
CNIC Validation:
• Requires a CNIC in the format 12345-1234567-1 and uses a regex pattern to validate this format
Uploading Picture:
• Allows uploading a picture of the CNIC or other things.
Cross Field Validations and Checks
• Age When First Used Social Media: Cross-field validation ensures that the age when social media was first used is less than the respondent’s year of birth.
• Year Started Social Media: Cross-field criteria validate that this year is greater than the respondent’s calculated age to ensure consistency."
Skip logic based on previous questions
• Children: If marital status is not ‘1’ (e.g., not married), this field will be skipped. Otherwise, the respondent can specify how many children they have.
Tool Location and Dependent Dropdowns: Collects geographic information including province and district.
Dependent Dropdowns: This feature allows us to create dropdown lists that are dependent on the selection from another dropdown. For instance, the districts will change based on the selected province."
Email Verification
• Email and Confirm Email: Ensures that the email addresses entered in both fields match. The formula ${Q13_ConfirmEmail} = ${Q12_Email} checks for consistency, and a message is displayed if they don’t match."
