Hummingbirds Love This Flower!
This is a female Anna’s hummingbird enjoying the nectar-rich Crocosmia blooms! The male birds have rose-pink throat and crown. These hummingbirds are native to the Pacific coast and are year-round residents here in the north west. The bees and butterflies enjoy the trumpet-shaped flowers as well! This plant is winter hardy to zones 6-9 and this gorgeous red variety (Lucifer) is hardy to zones 4/5.
