What if Sonic Triple Trouble had been originally released on the Sega Genesis / MegaDrive, after Sonic 3 & Knuckles?
It is my pleasure to present to all; the entire game of Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble 16 bit. This fangame by Noah Copeland is a re-imagining of the Game Gear game Sonic Triple Trouble in the style of the Genesis Sonic classics.
For anyone who has been following the development closely, Noah has worked exceptionally hard on this project for 5 years and it really, really shows! Just played through. Was not disappointed. Stellar soundtrack with entirely Sega Mega Drive/Genesis sounds, top tier 2D Sonic gameplay, level (and sometimes interactionable) transitions between levels, being able to switch between Sonic and Tails on the fly, unlockable content, enjoyable Special Stages, 360 degree physics....This is the sequel to Sonic 3 and Knuckles that we should have had, rather than the one we got (cough....Sonic 4....)
16 Bits, 7 Chaos Emeralds, 3 Villains, 1 Hedgehog!
Story: After destroying the Death Egg and returning the Master Emerald to Angel Island, Sonic and Tails decide to return home.....however they discover Robotnik crash landed. After defeating him again, Sonic gets taken by surprise and gets knocked out. Robotnik seizes the opportunity and takes the Yellow Chaos Emerald, before the rest of the Emeralds scatter across the world once again. Unbelievably, Knuckles also seems to be siding with the mad doctor again and a new bounty hunter is after the Chaos Emeralds after witnessing their power in Sonic and Robotnik's battle. With this new 'triple threat' of villains to contend with, can Sonic and Tails safeguard the Emeralds from this dastardly trio?
P.S: For beating the game and with all the Emeralds, there is unlockable content which I'm not going to show in this video as the game has only just been released and for spoilers.
