This month I learned contemporary dance. While there’s some overlap, contemporary dance is different than ballet or modern dance. Ballet and modern dance is a specific style with set moves and names for the movements, but contemporary dance isn’t codified. It can use more dance movements from a variety of genres, and isn’t as strict in its expression.
