“ON THE BEACH” - (Part 3) - CANON EOS M + ML RAW - DAVINCI RESOLVE 16 - GRADED
This video is the third (and last) part of the “On the beach” series of videos I shot on the beach early at the beginning of July (links: • "ON THE BEACH” - (Part 1) - CANON EOS... (Part 1), link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynVIs... (Part 2)), with my CANON EOS M with Magic Lantern custom firmware in it. I collected a total of over 550 clips for nearly 38 minutes worth of footage. Therefore, I decided to split all the video material into 3 different videos. This is the third part and the last one.
All editing process as been accomplished in the very same way as for the previous ones. This video (unlike the previous ones) covers all the 16:9 frame, i.e has no black bars at the top and bottom of the frame.

Here I am, back from a short, one week, holiday (that's why haven't posted for a while but also because of bad weather conditions earlier) to the sea, in a location in county “Liguria”, named “Cervo Ligure” (some 175 miles from where I live), and where I’ve already been in the past and where I took some clips with my other cameras, namely the NIKON D3300 (now sold), the TOMTOM Bandit action cam, the SJCAM SJ5000X Elite (sold) and the SJCAM SJ7 (sold). This time I took my CANON EOS M with Magic Lantern build installed and had the opportunity to take a really large amount of clips on the location and on the beach: I took almost over 550 clips in total for around 38minutes worth of footage. This video is the first of three videos (the other 2 will come next) and is made up of the clips taken in the first couple of days. Due to the really large amount of clips taken, I had to split them in three different videos. This is the first one, the other 2 will follow soon. Overall the weather was good (and also not too hot) except one cloudy day and another where we had a short thunderstorm early in the morning. I therefore had also the opportunity to use/enjoy the EOS M instead of just laying on the beach and sunbathing for most of the day. We stayed in a small camping site with bungalows, right in front of the beach, so everything was handy and close.
This is the third of the three videos made up with the clips shot with my EOS M with Magic Lantern custom firmware installed. All clips (shot hand-held, no tripod used) have been taken using MCM rewire 1736x976 RAW mode @25fps. All clips have been first loaded up into MLVApp for preliminary color/exposure/brightness and sharpness correction and then exported for further editing via DaVinci Resolve 16 (latest beta 6 release). Editing, cuts, BG music sync and stabilization were all performed in DaVinci Resolve, along with color grading. This video also features some slow-motion and reverse video FXs. Video rendered in just over 6 minutes and exported in 4K UHD (upscaled) 3840x2160p @24fps. Video file-size: 3.30GB. Average bit-rate: 72Mb/s.
