Apoqnmatulti'k
Since 2018, Apoqnmatulti'k has been guided by the principle of helping each other. Funded by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada , Apoqnmatulti'k set out to bring together Mi'kmaw, local, and scientific knowledges to better understand culturally and commercially valued species.
The true strength of Apoqnmatulti'k comes from the relationships and trust that have been built and the lessons learned along the way. It is those relationships that underpin the project's scientific outcomes and successes.
Although the current project activities are coming to a close, the partners have submitted an application for renewed funding. If awarded, this funding will enable them to explore new research questions and support this collaboration for the next five years.
