The ‪@aitumtv‬ Vertical Plugin for OBS Studio comes with its own (Vertical) Virtual Camera and it wasn't immediately obvious to me why. But I reached out to them and they connected the dots for me.

Essentially you can't use third-party software to stream to TikTok. If you want to set up a scene and sources in OBS Studio and use that on TikTok, the vertical virtual camera is a good way of overcoming this constraint.

Though, as ‪@SamProof‬ will tell you, 'Vertical Virtual Camera' can be a bit of a tongue twister.
